The Jagdtiger was a German heavy tank destroyer of World War II. The first prototypes were built in 1943, and mass production lasted from 1944 to 1945, with only 88 vehicles produced. The Jagdtiger was powered by a single 700 hp Maybach HL 230 P30 engine. Its primary armament consisted of a powerful 128 mm PaK 44 L/55 cannon and one 7.92 mm MG34 or MG42 machine gun.
